The Delaware County Democratic Committee welcomes our 55th governor David Paterson and is looking forward to an administration in Albany that will lead New York to better itself and heal itself.

“We move forward. Today is Monday. There is work to be done,” Paterson said at his swearing in. “There was an oath to be taken. There’s trust that needs to be restored. There are issues that need to be addressed.”

“We are looking forward to seeing what the reconciler in David Patterson will do to shape the power relationships in Albany to achieve a more honest and open government for New York State” stated Cynthia Lockrow, chairperson of the Delaware County Democratic Committee.

By April 1st, the Legislature must meet it’s deadline to pass an estimated $124 billion budget.
