Unofficial minutes of February meeting
County Committee February 25th. 2007, 11:12amChairman W. Buccheri called the meeting to order at 7:02 pm with 17 members and 3 guests present and opened with the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag.
The minutes of the January meeting were approved as presented (D. Stinson/R. Bryden).
The Treasurer’s report was approved as presented (S. Hodge/Barb Buccheri).
Old Business:
Chairman Buccheri reported that the dinner this year will be at the Plum Tree Events Center, across the road from the Phoenix House in South Kortright. The Hidden Inn will cater the event with the same menu as in previous years. Invitations have been sent for potential speakers.
Secretary, Joan Homovich has been selected by the committee to receive the “Peg Pandick” Democratic Woman of the Year Award.
R. Bryden, chair of the dinner ticket sub-committee, advised that tickets will not be mailed with the letters to Town Chairs this year. Tickets must be obtained personally and each ticket will have a line to mark “paid” with the seller’s initials. Provisions will also be made for tickets to be purchased at the door. The number of tickets printed will be 300.
For the membership sub-committee, C Lockrow stated that the committee has begun to meet with prospects from key towns.
New Business:
The committee approved the designation of “The Deposit Courier” as the official Democratic newspaper (A. Paternoster/R. Bryden).
Plans were made to secure the booth for the county fair.
Barb Buccheri moved for adjournment, with K. Keck seconding. The meeting was adjourned at 8:15 pm
